I'm a hydraulics engineer by day and dabbling jewelry artist at night and weekends. I started in chainmaille about 3 years ago and have since branched out into wirewrapping and am currently learning goldsmithing. I'm using this as a repository for my work as I complete it. So there probably will be some repetition while I practice and get better.

Your welcome Muir, I really like your silver jewelry you should do more! My wife is just starting into stained glass and was salivating over your castle.
:iconmuirgheal85:
thanks! I love the silver jewelry as well, sadly I can't afford the tools needed, otherwise I would be doing stuff still!

I miss it, but maille is a nice way to still be making things without needing a torch and such.

stained glass is really very easy, I love it, I miss working on it (I have no where to work on it in our little apartment, and no grinder)

Well as far as the silver goes, Harbor Freight is your friend. They have an awesome torch, rolling mill and dapping set for the price!

True, the maille and wire wrapping is nice to do in front of the TV on a coffee table.

Yeah, unfortunately everything takes up an inordinate amount of space. Especially if you can't finish it in one sitting and have to leave it out. Even my little house doesn't have enough room for all my hobbies! :)
:iconmuirgheal85:
see, I can't even afford the set from harbor freight- I work part time, and my boyfriend, ~MaillerPhong is currently unemployed, so money is very very very tight. I also don't think my land lords would appreciate the jewelery as much, because of the torch.....

eventually, I would LOVE to have my own setup!

Thanks for the fave :)

You can add another watcher to the list. Awesome work.
